That is so true. Having a great photographer husband here in the US, I’m inspired to create blogs about creative concepts in videos and photos and do away with contemporary western styles.
Personally, I’d replace Niceprint and Wally G. with PAT DY and OLY RUIZ of METROPHOTO

i think the title is misleading. There are other great photographers and videographers, these are just “the most popular and sought out” as you’ve mentioned. I’d say the others have branded themselves as Top, and customers think they are the best because they charge the most for their services.
i have to agree with anna. the title is quite misleading as it states top ten wedding photographers and videographers in the philippines yet metrophoto and pat dy are only honorable mentions plus other great names and the truly top wedding photographers were left out … lito sy might be one name you’d want to look up and include here, there’s also atty. fortun, dino lara, aaron ebio, imagine nation … and the list goes on.
but according to you, “I’d like to share the best wedding photographers and videographers I encountered” …maybe the right title for your article would be – MY top 10 ….
as you have encountered in other photography forums, eyebrows will be raised because the title is just misleading and confusing. photographers and photo enthusiasts nowadays always get a bit touchy on subjects like this and that may be the reason why they are pointing out the title change

Some names should not be included in this list like niceprint and Karl mimi. Replace with Dino Lara and Attorney Fortun. Top 3 looks worthy solid.

MangoRed is a solid choice for the Top 10. Their pre-nup and wedding photos of Jay (of Kamikazee) and Sarah are what really inspired me to take up photography, seriously.
Definitely Jay kamikazee wedding photos are unforgettable!
But!!! sometimes they are unproferssional
you guys have to understand that this industry is growing. there are a lot of underrated photographers out there. you should come out with an unbiased entry on top 10 up and coming wedding photographers because this list is also becoming like an advertisement, same old people every year…also in WPPP awards. no doubt they’re great but it wouldn’t hurt these people’s career by acknowledging the emerging great ones, would it?
I can’t get over that Pat Dy is just an honorable mention in this list. Bec. I always think of him as the David Beckstead of the Philippines!

I am not based in the Philippines but I would be curious to see these amazing Filipino photographers soar the market. I think for me to be considered the top is not based on popularity – rather the $$$ (money) made by the company and national achievement (awards) that can be mentioned. I know it is tough to get this information. I still believe that those strive for competition awards and money will stay longer in the business. This way every artist can be paid well…effort is already there… its time to get these wonderful artists the money they are worth for.

Wow, this is a great list. Ngayon ko lang narinig yung Mayad Studios so I’m going to check them out as well. I would like to add though, Dino Lara is forum mate of my hubby and is very professional. He actually took our pre-nup shots in Pinas.
I think we should not leave out “the emerging great ones” like Flickerhappy Studio and Rock Paper Scissors for photography.

I’ve been canvassing photographers for the past month I noticed Wally Gonzales Photography has a different style with their wedding album. I’m an artist myself and I know the difference.
Others kasi parang naka template na at puro naka box lahat. I just don’t know about their raw.
I’m torn between Wally and Mango Red. I’ve met the brothers and they are uber cool.
Oh come on! Wally G and Alt-X? Are you kidding me? Pat Dy and Cinemaworks are waaaaaay better. The best is still Nelwin Uy and Mayad Studios, hands down!
