Finding used cars for sale in the Philippines has never been easier. Both buy and sell agents and private car owners can go online and choose from a variety of free car listing directories to post ads from. Buyers just need to type in a make and model then hit enter to get a gazillion results.

I myself went through a car addiction stage and spent countless hours online searching for second hand cars for sale My favorites are the ever reliable Toyota Corolla big body and EK Honda Civic. I put this list together to help other buyers find high-quality 2nd hand units from the best buy and sell car websites.

8. Adpost Philippines Cars

An oldie but goodie, find your next ride here. Adpost is a low key general classifieds listing but the used cars section is the best part. It’s not that popular so there are less car dealers and more real owners posting ads. The website design needs a complete makeover but it’s strength lies in it’s informative descriptions and page listing layout.

7. MyCars.ph

My first visit to MyCars.ph was quite a pleasant discovery. It came up on a google search paid listing while I was doing research for this post. I usually don’t trust paid Google results but I’m glad I clicked on the ad. MyCars has the best search filtering system I’ve seen among all the buy and sell car directories. The site is very informative, intuitive, and clean looking.

6. Kotsebook.com

A promising newcomer, this site offers a clean and easy-to-use directory. You can also post your car for free.

5. www.carfinderph.com

Owned by the second hand sales giant, Buy and Sell Philippines and the most popular used car magazine Car Finder. Sellers who buy ad placements on the physical magazine also get their ads listed here online so you have more chances of finding jewels from non-internet savvy/offline sellers.

4. Autoindustriya.com Classifieds

Autoindustriya or AI for short, is one of the oldest Philippine automobile classified websites. Not the most organized used car listings but well worth taking a look at. It also boasts of a strong community and interesting automotive articles.

2. Grupo Toyota – Auto Trader

Definitely the site to go to find the best deals for used Toyota cars for sale. Most vehicles for are owned by club members so you know the vehicle is well taken care of. I’ve wasted numerous hours of my life scanning the selling forum.

3. Mitsubishi Lancer Club > Vehicles for Sale

If you’re looking for a good condition used Mitsubishi Lancer this is the right place. You’ll find all Mitsubishi Lancer models in the classifieds vehicle section of the forum. Go find your pizza pie, itlog, sinkit and more in this amazing community. *Requires registration

2. HCP Pitstop/ Sellin (Honda Club Philippines)

Quality used Honda cars sold directly from Filipino die-hard enthusiasts. It’s not uncommon to find fully loaded Honda cars at super bargain prices here.

1. Tsikot.com

This site has the freshest list of 2nd hand cars among the choices above. This is what makes it number one. That and the fact that it has the best local car discussion forums. The listings are well-organized and categorized. There are plenty of units to choose from.

But Where’s Sulit???

I did not include the mainstream classified sites like Sulit and Ayosdito on purpose . I love Sulit for everything else except cars classifieds. It would be the last website I would try searching because of the overpopulation of sellers and questionable quality of listings. When you’re about to invest 100k and up for a second-hand automobile, it would be best to first start with the specialized classifieds mentioned above.

Used Car Dealers / Online Showrooms

Used car dealerships make the whole buying process smoother. You deal with pros and there’s a physical establishment you can come back to in case you need help. Car loans and installment payments are available and they usually do all the paperwork for you like transfer ownership and registration. Of course there’s a hefty premium you have to pay for this comfort.

Here are some good used car dealerships I’ve used as reference and their websites.

Automobilico

Autocamp

R33 Car Exchange

I still prefer meeting the real owner of the vehicle in person and saving money by skipping the middle man.

Conclusion

The best online used cars are found in car club forums and communities. Have the patience to register and browse the threads thoroughly. You can even make new friends on the way. Crowded classified websites like sulit and ayosdito should be your last resort to choose from. Buying directly from the owner is cheaper than purchasing from a used car dealer although the latter does have it’s advantages.

What are your tips and personal experiences in buying 2nd hand cars? If you found this post useful, share it with your friends with a quick like or tweet.

There are many beautiful Philippines logo designs that we come across everyday and others which have been with us since childhood. I collected the best logos which display excellent design and strong brand recognition. This list showcases a variety of companies ranging from telecoms, clothing to food service.

Logo Design Philippines Top 20

20. When In Manila

What symbolizes Manila better than a jeepney. “Para po sa tabi!”

19. Gonuts Donuts

Crazy donut face FTW!

18. Zagu

A refreshing tapioca pearl beverage or alien escape pod symbol?

17. Sun Cellular

I still like this better than Globe and Smart logos

16. Manny Pacquiao

The best MP Nike logo version.

15. Collezione Philippine Map

Making the Philippine Map as a logo was a stroke of genius. This sort of became the national uniform when newscasters, rescue workers and hipsters started wearing it.

14. MMDA Logo

Bold colors and letters really make this logo stand out. The two shapes under the first letter ‘m’ are suppose to be Manila City Hall and the Rizal Monument (someone please explain how that became the shape of the Rizal monument ). Now if they would just stop the music on their website from automatically playing on load.

13. It’s More Fun in the Philippines

The newest tourism campaign logo is fresh and fun. A viral hit on social media.

12. Mercury Drug

Mercury is a god of travel and trade. This logo design shows elegant details yet simple enough to notice cool details. Check out the winged sandals.

11. Skycable

Crisp and minimalist design creates a very professional and clean logo.

10. Batibot

I feel warm and fuzzy when I look at Batibot.

9. Skyflakes

The Crackers Authority.

8. Magnolia

Magnolia has a retro / mom-and-pop store feel to it. It gives a cozy feeling along with good memories of the ice cream house along Aurora Boulevard.

7. Team Manila

Jose Rizal in Sunglasses – ’nuff said!

6. Red Horse Beer

Strong beer. Strong logo.

5. Datu Puti

Spear and shield makes Datu Puti a winner.

4. Plains and Prints

I’m a big fan of this minimalist design. It also resembles the Flying Spaghetti monster.

3. Meralco

Yes they overcharge our electric bill but you can’t deny they have a logo fit for a superhero costume.

2. Cebu Pacific

Nice curves with a tribal feel to it.

1. Jollibee

Jollibee is without a doubt, the best-of-the-best in Philippine company logos. There’s just something about this insect head in a chef’s hat which makes people happy. Kids recognize this even before letters and numbers.

BONUS:

Seven Iconic Philippine Logos

Some of the most loved classic logo designs.

Philippine Airlines Logo

Classy design utilizing basic shapes.

SM

Because this can’t be a Pinoy logos list without SM.

Chippy

The quintessential Filipino corn chips

WOW Philippines

The previous tourism campaign logo is still awesome.

Chocnut

NOMNOMOMNOMNOM…

National Bookstore

Blue Magic

Admit it. You once gave or received a cheesy blue magic stuffed toy or trinket in your high-school days.

Which are your favorites? Mine is Jollibee and Team Manila because of their cool and fun design. Leave a comment below if I missed any other good ones.

Share this list with your friends on FB and Twitter if you found it entertaining or useful.

7. Bayo

Bayo reflects a clean, classic image. Bayo caters to women who embody the laid-back, casual lifestyle who have preference for stylish yet classic apparel. Did you know that “Bayo” is an ilonggo term which means, “dress” in English? (before I wrote this article I thought it meant “bass” like ‘boom the bass’ loud speakers.)

6. Ava

AVA is an online marketplace of well-loved premium brands. With a limited collection of apparel, shoes, bags, accessories, jewelry, home, art and design objects.

5. Chocolate Clothing

One of the Philippines’ leading one stop boutique, carrying new exciting retail and independent labels online. I personally met the owner of the rest of their marketing team before and all I can say they are the real deal. Passionate in fashion and true pros in their line of business.

4. Chicify

An online site for all chic and stylish clothing. Very fun theme and easy to navigate. They offer free gift wrapping and shopping too!

3. Boardwalk Online Store

Boardwalk is the best clothing brand for basics, casual and everyday wear clothing. they’re like the Philippine version of GAP or JCrew. Another reason it’s in the top three is because of their mobile website. It’s the only clothing website which had a feature rich mobile version. Check it their store locator and responsive blog. This is cutting edge web design for a Filipino website.

Boardwalk Mobile Website

The Mall is owned by stylebible.ph which in itself means they are backed by an authority in fashion. This is a perfect example of what a well balanced online clothes store should look like.

1. Zoo

Zoo Philippines is truly a web design masterpiece. Sleek, elegant and with excellent photography and blend of colors. You’ll surely have a visual feast when you visit this site.

It’s alarming how many Filipino racist issues are being reported in the news lately. You can turn on the TV during prime time and watch obvious racist Filipino teleseryes and think nothing of it.

I’m not going to give a history lesson or talk in depth about racism. I’ll just point out a few the most recent Filipino racist ads and in Philippine media that caught my attention.

Bayo Racist Ads – 100% Phail

I wasn’t able to see the Bayo billboards personally but when I saw the photo in Facebook, I thought it was a fake – some funny internet joke making fun of mestizas. Then I saw it in the evening news and I was like, NO WAYYY! Who in their right mind would seriously launch a marketing campaign focusing on a persons RACE.

LOL - Filipino racist ads go viral

Whoever came up with this idea needs to get an MRI or something, ASAP. The company realized their mistake and took quick action. Kudos to Bayo for recognizing their folly and asking for a public apology *clap clap clap*(please fire your marketing team).

Racist Filipino Magazine

This was the first time that racism in Philippine media really caught my attention. If it wasn’t for outcries from news agencies from other countries, we could’ve gotten away with it too. Like, wow – criticized on BBC, Telegraph, NYTimes for a Filipino racist magazine.

Funny Bela Padilla Meme

This should already have already been a wake up call but NOOOO. It seems like advertisers and media want to replicate the attention and scandal. We sure did get a lot of flack from this magazine issue.

Filipino Racist TV Show – Luna Blanca / GMA 7

Something is definitely WRONG with this picture. It really bothers me because it’s a prime time TV show starring – KIDS. W-T-F?! Okay, okay, so my source tells me the black face girl is half Kapre. So who says Kapre’s can’t be awesome? There was also another teleserye similar to this called Nita Negrita on the same TV network.

Why so black?

A Filipina from Tumbler quoted:
I saw the billboard last night ofLuna Blanca in the GMA MRT station, and it disgusted me. I don’t even have to know the plot of this new GMA show to see how blatantly racist it is. If casting a Filipina-Canadian actress who’s light-skinned as a black character isn’t racist, I don’t know what is, considering the discrimination against Filipino Negritos here and the lack of Filipino Negrito actors and actresses in Philippine media. If you want a dark-skinned character, give the role to a dark-skinned actress. – Feminism for a Filipina

Dear GMA 7, *DING – DONG*!!! Anybody home?

I’m really disappointed with my favorite local TV network. They used to take pride in producing exceptionally high-quality programming. I don’t care if the characters are half-tikbalang, kapre, hello kitty – these shows are junk and it teaches children to discriminate skin color and race.

Racist Filipino Billboard – Executive Optical

So, you’re a loser when you pick the guy with dark skin?? W-T-F

This is what really motivated me to write this post. I really was a big fan of EO billboard ad campaigns. If you’re not familiar with their style if advertising they come up with funny situations of impaired vision and shoot with high quality photography. I always compliment their displays whenever I pass by one of their billboards. It just breaks my heart to see one of my favorite creative companies stoop down to this level. *SOB*

It looks like Philippine media is heading back to the medieval age. In progressive nations, people go to jail for stunts like this. Don’t the writers and advertisers realize that so many people have cried, fought and died to end racial discrimination throughout the world and history. It sucks to see it blatantly being practiced right in my back yard. I’m dumbfounded how is this is still happening in this modern age.

There must be a good reason racism is accepted in Philippine media. These are the closest reasons I could come up with so please vote.

It’s easy to overlook the talent and creativity of web designers Philippines after getting so accustomed to the internet, you forget the artist behind each web page. Being a web designer is not as prestigious as being a fashion designer. A web designer doesn’t get as much recognition for their work compared to lets say, an architect or a famous painter. It’s only a strong passion for this new artform which drive web designers Philippines to do what they do without expecting a huge reward. I put up this blog post to recognize a few of the best web designers Philippines who are located all around the world.

The common denominator among the best web designers Philippines websites

Very clean with lots of breathing space

Well written web copy, nice typography

Fast loading, use of CSS to replace images when possible

Professional yet still friendly looking

Subtle use of textures and shading to make it pop

Main reasons for not including some good web designers Philippines in the list

Too many ads/Spammy looking

Heavy usage of Flash /animation

Difficult to Navigate

Too much unrelated content

No emotions /Too corporate looking

Use this list for inspiration when building your own online portfolio or as reference whenever you’re in need of a good web designer Philippines to hire.

Web Designers Philippines 10 Best Websites

10. EJ Frias, Singapore

A good start. All web design elements are pretty solid.

9. Hanz Ray, Antipolo

Attractive color of featured graphics contrasting with grey-tone surroundings makes this a winner

8. Prismona Wu De Leon, Cavite

First one page website in our list. Top section is dazzling.

7. Bryan Regencia, Sydney

Looking busy in his picture. Probably just playing DOTA.

6. Sheila Ong, Manila

5. Ronnie Morales Design

Well balanced design and high quality graphics. I just wish he didn’t use his name as his web design company’s name. Feels weird man.

4. Joy Reyes, Manila

I had a hard time figuring out how to upload this image. It’s a single page website horizontal slider. More of a novelty but quite unique for a web designers Philippines website.

3. Christen Lacsamana, Canada

This is a chic website. This style will never go out of date.

2. Caleb Serna Web Designer Philippines

What really caught my attention was the website video on his homepage. None of the other web designers Philippines sites I came across had anything as nice. Click play to watch the 1-minute video

You must be pretty darn smart for taking interest in this zombie outbreak manila survival guide. I kid you not, a zombie Philippines apocalypse is near.

Outbreak Manila – Top 5 Zombie Survival Tips:

Outbreak Manila Tip # 1 The worst ALWAYS happens when you least expect it

Always be alert and be ready for the worst, specially when you feel most relaxed and at ease. Zombies are unpredictable. They may be stalking you right now without your even knowing it. Always thinking one-step ahead is your key to surviving a zombie outbreak Manila.

Tip #2 NO White Knight

You’re not Jesus so don’t try to save everybody. Yes you can try to help people, but if you know there doomed… don’t go and try to make something out of a helpless situation. Your life is worth more than any strangers. Only try and save people only if you think it’s a hundred percent safe. NO WHITE KNIGHT your job is to live at all cost!

Tip #3 There’s no real protection from zombies

It’s important never to NEVER put your guard down. Try to think of several bad scenarios that can happen in your present outbreak Manila location and plan an out for each. Walls, doors and fences can always be destroyed if there are enough zombies.

Tip #4 Teamwork vs Zombies

A small zombie outbreak manila squad can destroy an army of mindless zombies with proper training and teamwork. What more if there were more equally skilled people in the group. Develop a solid battle plan and clean out the zombie outbreak manila.

Tip #5 Don’t think, JUST RUN!

Modern day humans have made it a habit to over-think. In the middle of an apocalyptic zombie outbreak, a split-second can change everything. Over-analysis does not only lead to mental paralysis – you can lose your life. Nike’s logo is not “JUST THINK IT” but “JUST DO IT, and RUN!!!

The development of online job sites in the Philippines has really come a long way. Specially with the popularity of outsourcing and virtual assistants, online job search is extremely useful to finding employers not only in the Philippines, but even a bigger job market abroad.

This list was list was created more for the benefit of job-seekers in mind rather than employers. I’ll just add a brief description of the website and you can click on the link to learn more. I might also comment on the web design for a few websites which stuck out. Here are the list of …

TOP 10 BEST Job Search Websites in the Philippines – Job Sites Philippines

10. Sulit.com.ph / Ayosdito.ph = TIE

Job search is not the main function of these websites but these two classified ad websites have available job posting options. Employers can post for free and get lots of exposure since these get tons of traffic. Sulit has a large social communinity while ayos dito is aggressive in advertsing. It’s easy for job post to get lost in the buy and sell sections so search carefully and diligently.

9. Trabaho.com

Back in the day, trabaho.com used to be the head honcho among job sites Philippines. I still remember way back seeing ads on the side of buses and billboards.Though not as mighty as before it is still holding its ground. The web design looks outdated and has too many blinking stuff all over.

8. Jobrapido.com
